Alvaro Morata doesn’t want to leave Real Madrid, this despite being linked with (or perhaps because he’s been linked with) Manchester United.
Morata has emerged as United’s primary target for a first-choice striker signing this summer, and the club are willing to bid up to £60million for the Spaniard. We personally reckon a brash bid for Harry Kane makes more sense.
Morata’s future at Real is uncertain, with the striker having 19 of a possible 60 games this past season.
He managed to score 20 goals despite a comparative lack of game time however, and is willing to stay in Spain and fight for his place.
“I want to be playing and to be important to the squad, particularly next year when there is the World Cup,” Morata told Tele5. “But I want to fight for my place here, I would be crazy to leave Real Madrid.
“It’s hard to imagine going back to Italy, despite my experience in Serie A being extraordinary. I would like to stay at Real Madrid, and the only club for me in Italy are Juventus.”
