Man United’s £100m target told he has ‘a lot to learn’
Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has sought to unsuccessfully pour lukewarm water on the raging fire that is Jadon Sancho.
Sancho has emerged as one of Europe’s most-coveted players after establishing himself in the Dortmund first team this season.
The 18-year-old left Manchester to join Dortmund from City in 2017, and has proved a remarkable success for the current Bundesliga leaders.
He is now rated at around £100m as both United and PSG battle for his signature.
But Dortmund manager Favre wants to understandably downplay expectations.
“Jadon is very talented, but also only 18 years old,” he said. “At that age, you go through a lot of ups and downs.
“He has a lot of potential, but also still a lot to learn. They all have talent but, without work, talent does not exist. It’s 10 per cent talent and 90 per cent work.
Liverpool wanted him too. And Tottenham. Just not those silly City sods.
