Andre Onana could be leaving Serie A this summer.

Andre Onana’s agent is ‘currently in Manchester’ as Man Utd look to make progress on a possible replacement for David de Gea, according to reports.

The Inter Milan goalkeeper has been in good form for the Nerazzurri over the past season and helped them to third place in Serie A, a Coppa Italia title and the final of the Champions League.

His form has attracted interest from Man Utd and Chelsea but a report earlier this month insisted the Blues had ‘ended their interest’ in Onana.

United’s number one De Gea is out of contract at the end of this month with recent reports indicating talks over a new contract have broken down.

Man Utd were hoping the 32-year-old Spaniard would reduce his terms down from his current reported £375k-a-week wages.

De Gea has recently been ‘tempted by several clubs in Saudi Arabia’ as they are willing to offer the Spain international an ‘irresistible salary’ to leave the Premier League.

And Onana could be his replacement if he does leave with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano insisting a potential deal for the Inter Milan stopper is one to “keep an eye” this summer.

Romano said on his own YouTube channel: “There is the possibility for United to keep the De Gea and sign a second goalkeeper to create competition or maybe to sign a new first choice goalkeeper.

“In that case if they part ways with David de Gea, we have to keep an eye on Andre Onana.

“It’s also true that Manchester United have explored the conditions of the Andre Onana deal on the player side. So Man United are informed on the situation and Onana has always has a with Erik ten Hag. Inter are looking for around €60m (£51m) for Onana.”

And Sky Sport Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now tweeted that ‘André #Onana’s agent is currently in Manchester to explore conditions with @ManUtd’.

The Italian journalist expanded on his own website, he wrote:

‘After the defeat in the Champions League final, Inter are starting to think about the transfer market. In addition to signings, the Nerazzurri will also have to think about sales.

‘Among the players who could leave Milan is Onana , who is being courted by Manchester United . The former Ajax player was one of the protagonists of the Nerazzurri season, a key player on more than one occasion.

‘The Cameroonian goalkeeper’s agent went to Manchester to speak with the Red Devils’ management. Now it will be necessary to understand if and what type of offer the English team will make to Inter, who will not accept offers of less than 50 million euros (£43m).’
