Paris Saint-Germain would like to ‘separate’ from former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to reports.

Gueye made 108 appearances for the Toffees before securing a £30million move to the French giants.

But now Le10sport claim his future in Paris is ‘crumbling from week to week’ despite the 30-year-old making 33 appearances in his debut campaign.

He’s also featured in all-but two Champions League games and provided an assist during September’s 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in their Group A showdown.

Sporting director Leonardo is ‘in the process’ of completing Gueye’s sale, and with Manchester United ‘taking the temperature’ of Gueye in July, they could be set to make a move.

Wolves have also been linked to the Senegalese defensive midfielder, although neither have launched official bids to secure his return to the Premier League.

Last month Gueye was quizzed about gathering rumours of a summer exit and said: “In the world of football, we are never sure of anything but I am often in contact with Leonardo, the club, and there has never been the question of a departure or a transfer in our discussions.

“There is enough respect between us to be able to say things if there was something to be said. Everything that is said today is purely fake news.”
