Borussia Dortmund have reportedly reduced their asking price for Man Utd transfer target Jadon Sancho by £20 million.
The Red Devils failed in their attempts to sign Sancho last summer.
He is seen as an ideal solution to solve their problems at right wing.
Man Utd could now sign him for a reduced price in 2021.
According to German outlet Bild (via Express), Dortmund will ask for £88 million for the English starlet.
That represents a £20 million drop on their original price tag for Sancho. Dortmund were holding out for £108 million last time Man Utd tried to sign the player.
The change in transfer policy comes in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Dortmund are expecting a £66 million loss due to the crisis, which means they’re willing to sell Sancho to balance the books.
Man Utd are expected to hunt the 20-year-old once the summer transfer window opens.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is known to be a big admirer of the former Man City youngster.
He wants to improve his options on the right wing, with Sancho seen as the priority in that position.
It’s thought that Sancho would thrive alongside Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes going forward.
He could also benefit from the influence of Edinson Cavani. The 33-year-old is enjoying his time at Old Trafford and looks set to spearhead the attack in future matches.
Sancho endured a tough start to the Bundesliga campaign, potentially down to the United transfer saga.
He failed to score in his first seven league appearances.
The Englishman has turned his fortunes around, however. He’s bagged three goals and four assists in his last six matches.
United are currently on a high, having beaten Southampton 9-0 at home in devastating fashion.
They sit second in the Premier League and are level on points with title rivals Man City.
Signing Sancho in the summer could be the final part of the puzzle for Solskjaer to make this a title-winning side.
