Man Utd already have an agreement in place to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina this summer, according to reports in Italy.

The Red Devils have signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana from Chelsea and Inter Milan respectively this summer, while Rasmus Hojlund was announced as their third signing over the weekend in a £72m deal from Atalanta.

Former West Brom defender Jonny Evans has also signed on a short-term deal but it remains to be seen if he’s kept on a longer deal for the season.

And widespread reports claim that Man Utd can now turn their attention to signing a new midfielder and centre-back with the Hojlund deal now over the line.

It has been claimed that Amrabat will be that new midfielder with very few alternative links coming out in recent weeks.

And now Italian journalist Carlo Garganese insists that a deal has already been agreed but that Man Utd are relying on getting squad players sold first.

Garganese has described Amrabat a “monster” with a £21m deal now enough to see the Moroccan side for the Red Devils this summer

In order to fund a deal for the Fiorentina midfielder, Erik ten Hag is looking to sell some of his squad players with West Ham apparently looking to buy Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay for a combined £60m.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has brought an update on possible sales, he wrote in his Caught Offside column: “At the moment, Anthony Martial is staying at Manchester United but I’d consider him in the same range of players as Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire – if he gets an important proposal, he could leave, otherwise, he’ll stay and be part of Erik Ten Hag’s rotation squad. That’s the feeling around Martial now.”

And Romano has confirmed that McTominay and Maguire are still on West Ham’s wanted list with the Hammers looking for four more signings.

Romano added: “Edson Alvarez has agreed personal terms and wants the move to West Ham – up to the Hammers and Ajax now. I think West Ham will be very busy with four or five signings potentially. With regards to McTominay, at the moment, there is nothing advanced at this stage, the Londoners’ focus is on completing the Alvarez deal.

“Manchester United are also waiting to see if West Ham will return with a new offer for Maguire, but what I know for sure is that £20 million / £25 million will not be enough.”
