Lazio are still demanding €120m from Manchester United for midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

Milinkovic-Savic has re-emerged as a United target after being heavily linked to the club last summer.

Previous reports have acknowledged that Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants €120m (£108m) but admit that the Serie A side will realistically accept a bid of around €80m (£72m).

Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), though, claim that Lotito still wants the full €120m to part with Milinkovic-Savic and that it is United’s job to ‘convince’ the Italian club to sell for less.

The report also reckons that United could have to agree to sell wantaway midfielder Pogba first before any deal for the Serbian can be agreed.

There has been intense speculation about the 26-year-old’s happiness and Pogba, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid, recently admitted he was considering “a new challenge somewhere else”.

Milinkovic-Savic appeared to be all frowns at Lazio training on Tuesday with Gazzetta dello Sport adding that it ‘speaks volumes about his state of mind’ and that he risks remaining ‘a prisoner’ in Rome.
