Man Utd perform apparent U-turn over Inter-linked forward

Man Utd reportedly want to keep Anthony Martial at the club this season amid rumours Inter Milan are interested.
The France international was in and out of the team last season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept faith in him as a central striker, before opting to play Edinson Cavani in the majority of matches towards the end of the campaign.
Martial scored four goals and created three assists in 22 Premier League appearances last term, while Cavani bagged 10 goals and three assists in 26.

With Chelsea closing in on a £97.5m deal for Romelu Lukaku, it was rumoured that Inter Milan were interested in signing Martial as his replacement.
A report claimed that Man Utd would allow Martial to join Inter on loan as long as they included an obligation to buy the player next summer.
The Red Devils were understood to be demanding £50m if they were to be persuaded to let Martial leave Old Trafford this transfer window.
And now Sky Sports claim there has been an apparent U-turn with Man Utd having ‘no intention of selling’ the 25-year-old.
Martial ‘is believed to be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the new season’ despite interest from Serie A side Inter.
Solskjaer ‘will not allow Martial to leave this summer’ with Marcus Rashford now facing up to 12 weeks out after shoulder surgery.
Martial was missing for the final month or two of the season and Solskjaer was happy to see the striker back out on the grass as United beat Everton 4-0 in a friendly match over the weekend.
Solskjaer said: “Anthony has had a bad spell with injuries, of course these were his first 45 minutes.
“He’s been training well with us but as players who’ve been out for a while, they need some more sharpness, need some more work.
“He tried to do the right thing; it didn’t come off all the time, but it’s better than what you fear sometimes when he’s been injured for five months – since March.”
Meanwhile, former England defender Carlton Palmer said over the weekend that he doubted Martial would be leaving Man Utd this summer.
Palmer told This Is Futbol: “I think that’s just rumours about Solskjaer not being keen on him.
“He hasn’t lived up to his potential but I think he’s got goals in him and if Man United get going, I think Martial is going to be very, very important for them this season.”
