Man Utd players question Mourinho’s faith in Matic

Some of Manchester United’s dressing room have questioned Jose Mourinho’s faith in Nemanja Matic, according to reports.

Matic has made 13 starts for the Red Devils in the Premier League and Champions League this season and has been a regular since joining from Chelsea.

However, it was his slack marking that gave Ilkay Gundogan the chance to score Manchester City’s third goal in their 3-1 victory over United on Sunday.

And The Times claims Mourinho‘s failure to drop Matic during a spell of bad form has ’caused some consternation within certain elements of the Manchester United dressing room’.

Some players reportedly believe that the Serbian is ‘practically untouchable’ and that Mourinho will stick with him no matter what.

Mourinho worked with Matic at Chelsea during his second spell in charge before paying £40million to bring him to Old Trafford.

We included him in a list of supposed untouchables who should be dropped last week.
