Manchester United are looking to get two deals over the line before continuing with the rest of their transfer business this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils have already sealed the signings of Daniel James from Swansea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in this summer transfer window and now they are turning their attention to other targets.

The Daily Telegraph claims there are two deals in particular that United are ‘prioritising’ over others as they look to ‘thrash out’ more deals.

United want to get the ‘[Harry] Maguire deal and the situation involving Romelu Lukaku‘ over the line with United having to make the former the ‘world’s most expensive defender’ to land him.

‘Leicester are demanding £90m’ for Maguire but Manchester City, who are also understood to want the England international, ‘believe the market rate for the defender is around £60m’ which ‘clears the way for United’ to swoop.

Meanwhile, Lukaku was conspicuous by his absence from the main group  as thousands of fans descended on the WACA stadium in Perth to watch United’s open training session on Thursday.

Reports, though, claim that the Belgium international was nursing a knock, so instead did alternative gym-based work along with Anthony Martial.

The Daily Telegraph adds that Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio flew to England on Wednesday in an effort to seal a deal for Lukaku, who has admitted his love for the Italian league.

Inter have reportedly proposed a £9m two-year loan deal that would see them have an ‘obligation to buy’ at the end of the loan for £53.7m – ‘but United want a straight cash deal’ and value Lukaku at £75m.

On leaving the UK yesterday, Ausilio told Sky Sports at the airport: “We had a meeting with Man United for Lukaku. It has been an official approach between two important clubs. Let’s see. Conte wants every player we’re trying to sign.”
