Manchester United have received two offers for Eric Bailly as the 29-year-old defender continues to look for a new club ahead of the upcoming season.

It’s no secret that Erik ten Hag is happy to let Bailly leave this summer after the defender spent last season out on loan.

The 29-year-old has one year left to run on his contract at Old Trafford. There is the option of a further year in his deal, but this option isn’t likely to be taken up.

Earlier in the window, Bailly was linked with a move to Al-Nassr as a potential Cristiano Ronaldo reunion was on the cards.

The Daily Mail has confirmed that Man Utd have since received two offers from Saudi Pro League clubs for the services of Bailly.

Given the defender isn’t fancied by Ten Hag, a move this summer seems more than likely.

Last month Fabrizio Romano clarified that the defender is no longer in the manager’s plans and that he is free to leave.

“Eric Bailly, not part of Manchester Utd squad travelling for US tour as he’s out of the project and expected to leave, “Fabrizio Romano clarified.

Bailly spent last season on loan with Marseille, but the French club opted against signing the defender on a permanent basis.

Former Ivory Coast boss Patrice Beaumelle described Bailly’s loan spell with the French club as ‘a mess’.

“It’s a mess. He remains and will remain one of the best defenders I have known. He had discomfort behind his hamstrings which prevented him from continuing,” he told Africa Foot United.

“Yet he hoped to be quiet, had good feelings. Then he disappeared from radar against all odds.

“It’s a shame because a 100% Bailly could have helped the team to grab points to be second. He has not always been 100%, it is perhaps the fault of bad luck, when he loved OM and would have appreciated being part of this project.”

The 29-year-old will now assess his options for the future, but a move to the Saudi Pro League seems more than likely at this stage.
