Report reveals Man Utd players could earn ‘£485,000’ if they complete ‘stunning quadruple’

Each Man Utd player will receive a hefty bonus should they complete a historic quadruple this season, according to a report.

The Red Devils claimed the Carabao Cup last weekend – their first trophy win since the 2016-17 campaign under Jose Mourinho.

They backed their win against Newcastle up with a comeback victory at home to West Ham in the FA Cup, sealing a spot in the quarter-finals.

As Erik ten Hag’s side remain in the FA Cup, Europa League and Premier League title race – albeit as outsiders – there has obviously been talk of an unprecedented quadruple.

The same thing happened with Liverpool last season, however, the Reds ended up with two domestic cups, finishing second in the Premier League and runners-up in the Champions League.

A top-four finish and a trophy would be an outstanding debut season for Ten Hag and Man Utd fans would have bitten anyone’s hand off for that if they were offered it at the start of the season.

Man Utd are the favourites to win the Europa League – ahead of Premier League leaders Arsenal – having knocked out La Liga giants Barcelona in the first knockout round.

The FA Cup is a very realistic trophy to win having drawn Fulham at home in the last eight, though they will probably have to overcome Man City if they are to win the competition.

City – who face Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the quarters – are the current favourites, with Man Utd just behind them.

The Premier League title does seem to be the most unlikely of the three remaining competitions.

Man Utd are third, behind Arsenal and City, at the time of writing. 11 points separate themselves and the Gunners, though they do have a game in hand on the league leaders.

A positive result away to Liverpool this weekend could make football fans take notice and seriously consider the Red Devils as title contenders.

A quadruple would be absolutely outstanding, there is no doubt about that, and the whole squad reportedly stands to make a decent amount of money should that come to fruition.

This is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that each player would receive close to half a million pounds should Man Utd win four trophies in 2022-23.

Players ‘such as Marcus Rashford and Casemiro’ have already received a nice £65,000 bonus for winning the Carabao Cup, the report claims.

A further £85k will follow should Man Utd claim the FA Cup and Europa League, meaning the big money comes from winning the Premier League – which is obviously the least likely of the lot.

Should Man Utd win the league, each player would receive a £250k bonus, meaning they would earn £485k in total.

Manager Ten Hag has been eager to play down talk of four trophies in his maiden season in charge.

“We are not talking about that, we are talking about the next game [vs Liverpool] and it is a big game,” he said.

“It is a good game and we are really excited to play this game.”
