Manchester United and Tottenham will provide competition to other sides interested in buying Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to reports.

The Sun claimed on Sunday that Spurs have put Onana ‘at the top of their wish list’ to replace Hugo Lloris in net.

Ajax ‘would sell if the right offer came in’ but there ‘‘would have to be a buyer’’ for the France international before they bought Onana.

Onana has made 20 appearances for the Eredivisie side this term and remains their undisputed number one.

His excellent performances, in the Champions League in particular, have caught the eye of a number of teams around Europe.

And De Telegraaf claims that Paris Saint-Germain, United and Tottenham are in a three-way battle to sign the Cameroon international keeper.

The clubs are looking to ‘tempt’ Onana to leave Ajax in the summer with the interest from the two Premier League clubs coming ‘at a special moment’.

That ‘special moment’? Ajax face Chelsea in England on Tuesday in the Champions League, with ‘many eyes’ focusing on Onana at Stamford Bridge.

Onana, who has just under three years remaining on his current deal, will reportedly be available for between €40million and €50million.
