Manchester United's Jadon Sancho celebrates after scoring his sides second goal during the English Premier League soccer match between Manchester United and Leeds United at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023.

Manchester United star Jadon Sancho is reportedly among Aston Villa’s main targets this summer as Unai Emery prepares his side for European football.

Villa’s stunning form after Emery took charge at Villa Park last season saw them storm up the table and qualify for the Europa Conference Leagye by finishing seventh in the Premier League.

And Emery is desperate to improve on both the quality and depth of his squad ahead of that added commitment, and transfer expert Rudy Galetti has revealed that Sancho is among three wingers on the Spaniard’s wishlist.

Galetti told GIVEMESPORT: “There are several names on the list, among which Jadon Sancho, Luiz Henrique and Harvey Barnes stand out as main targets. The Villans are exploring these tracks and they could make a concrete action in the next weeks.”

Sancho scored just three goals in 29 appearances last season for United and has failed to live up to the reputation which saw him make the £73m move from Borussia Dortmund two years ago.

The United star is also a target of Tottenham, as Ange Postecoglou looks to put him stamp on things in his first season at the helm.

As is Barnes, who is sure to be on the move from Leicester this summer after the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Barnes would represent a cheap option in comparison to Sancho; so too would Luiz Henrique – who got seven assists and three assists for Real Betis last term.

It looks set to be a busy summer for Villa with new president of football operations Monchi now in place, along with new director of football Damian Viadany, with both set to work closely with Emery in the summer transfer market.

And Football Insider claim Villa are also set to battle Tottenham for Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.

A report on Saturday claimed Spurs had made a ‘great offer’ for the centre-back, who’s reportedly Postecoglou’s ‘first objective’ this summer, but Emery is also keen on adding the England international to his ranks.
