Man Utd starlet ‘set to join’ Rangers on six-month loan
Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo is “set to join” Rangers on a six-month loan, according to reports.
The Ivory Coast international made his senior debut for Italian side Atalanta in 2019. He scored on his debut as he helped his side beat Udinese 7-1 in Serie A.
In October 2020, the Red Devils agreed a deal to sign the winger for around £19m. The move was completed during the winter transfer window in 2020/21 as they overcame work permit issues.

Amad played eight times last term, scoring in the 1-1 draw against AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16.
His first-team opportunities have been limited this season, however, with his only appearance coming against Young Boys in the Champions League group stage.
Due to the 19-year-old’s limited game time, interim manager Ralf Rangnick has agreed to let him leave on loan this month.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Amad will join Rangers on a six-month deal, with no buy option included in the deal.

The young winger is already in Scotland finalising his move to the Scottish champions and will sign his contract in the “next hours”.
Amad joins the list of young forwards brought to Ibrox Stadium on loan from England in recent seasons. Reading’s Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo – who is still at Liverpool – had unsuccessful spells north of the border.
Ryan Kent, on the other hand, joined on loan from Liverpool for 2018/19. After a tremendous season, the Gers signed him permanently for around £6.5m.
Elsewhere, Manchester United have reportedly infuriated Jesse Lingard and the 29-year-old’s camp with their January transfer window conduct.
Newcastle emerged as a possible destination for the England international but the prohibitive cost of a loan deal has seen their interest waver.
United are demanding a £12m bonus if the Magpies avoid relegation which, on top of covering the entirety of Lingard’s wages alongside an initial £2.5m loan fee, would bring the total cost of a temporary move to around £16.5m.
Those obstacles have left Lingard feeling ‘let down and disrespected’ (The Guardian), ‘infuriated’ (London Evening Standard), ‘incensed’ and as though he is ‘a commercial property’ to the club (Manchester Evening News).
