Chelsea are desperate to land Erling Haaland this summer and a report explains why ‘Team Haaland’ are attracted by a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Borussia Dortmund striker is one of the hottest properties in football and scored 40 goals in all competitions last term.

Roman Abramovich has given the go-ahead for Chelsea to sign the Norwegian ‘at all costs’ and a £130million is said to have been made.

Dortmund are hoping Haaland will remain in the Bundesliga for another season but CFCNewsPage has delivered an update on the deal which suggests Haaland and his representatives are keen on pushing for the move.

It’s claimed that ‘Team Haaland’ see Chelsea as a ‘significant step in improving Haaland’s game with the chances Tuchel’s team create game after game’.

Haaland’s wages are set to be tripled from £100,000-a-week to £300,000-a-week, while his dad Alf-Inge Haaland and agent Mino Raiola would receive €40million, to be settled through personal cheques from Roman Abramovich.

The report also suggests Chelsea are prepared to offer improved terms if the initial bid is rejected.

A second offer will be for £130million plus £20million in add-ons, including bonuses for winning the Champions League and Premier League.

Meanwhile, former Blues star Emmanuel Petit claimed his old side should do everything possible to acquire the Dortmund star.

He said: “I’ll keep it simple.

“Olivier Giroud is on his way out of Chelsea, Tammy Abraham is probably leaving on loan, and Timo Werner is still struggling to score goals consistently and Kai Havertz is not a striker.

“Chelsea need a new striker and someone who scores lots of goals. Erling Haaland is the answer.

“He’s strong, powerful and young with a bright future in front of him.

“Haaland’s value is already very high, and connections with Tuchel increase his chance of joining Chelsea.

“Offensively, he could become the finisher that Chelsea really need. “I can imagine his relationship with [Mason] Mount, Havertz, [Christian] Pulisic and [Hakim] Ziyech making him score lots of goals at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea need a top striker, it’s as simple as that.”
