Man Utd target Milinkovic-Savic quizzed over transfer speculation
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic admits the prospect of joining Juventus can make him ‘smile’ but the Serbia midfielder insists his focus remains on the World Cup.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with Manchester United this summer, with Lazio expecting a fee of around £80million for their biggest asset.
But Juventus are also in the running and Milinkovic-Savic’s father recently suggested the Serie A champions would be the “ideal” club for his son.
When the subject of his future was brought up after Serbia’s 2-1 defeat to Switzerland on Friday night, Milinkovic-Savic told Mediaset Premium: “I’m with the national team.
“The World Cup is a beautiful thing and now I’m not thinking about what to do next but only to my national team and do everything possible to reach the last 16.”
But when Juventus were mentioned, Milinkovic-Savic smiled and said: “I can smile, but I have to think solely about the World Cup.:
