Manchester United are prepared to sell Scott McTominay to Bayern Munich this summer as they set their asking price, according to reports.

The Red Devils have brought in Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund so far this summer with their lack of big-money sales restricting their budget.

There were reports earlier in the summer that Erik ten Hag was hoping to raise as much as £100m in player sales to help supplement his existing budget.

But, despite selling Anthony Elanga, Fred, Matej Kovar, Alex Telles and Zidane Iqbal, Man Utd have only raised around £32m from outgoings this summer.

It’s been rumoured for much of the transfer window that McTominay could leave the club if the Red Devils receive the right offer with Man Utd turning down a £30m bid from West Ham earlier this month for the Scotland international.

McTominay is yet to feature from the start this season with the 26-year-old coming off the bench in two of Man Utd’s three Premier League matches so far this campaign.

And now he could be on his way out of Old Trafford with German newspaper Bild claiming Bayern Munich are looking to ‘get things moving’ in their operation to sign a new midfielder with an ‘exciting indication’ that it could be McTominay.

The Bavarians are said to be ‘very interested’ in the Scot and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel can ‘well imagine the transfer’ being sealed before the end of the window.

Man Utd are understood to be looking for a fee of £35-40m which Bayern see as a ‘very large amount’ for them to pay – but the Premier League outfit ‘would be willing’ to negotiate a fair price.

There have been suggestions recently that Bayern wouldn’t buy any more players this summer and a move for McTominay would represent a ‘transfer turnaround’.

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been linked with Man Utd throughout the summer with expectations that they would seal a deal for the Morocco international, who impressed at the 2022 World Cup.

And now with Amrabat seemingly struggling for offers, Italian website Labaro Viola claim the player’s entourage ‘had promised offers that never came’.

Man Utd are yet to make an ‘official offer’ for Amrabat with the 26-year-old currently ‘blocked’ at the Serie A side until he can engineer a move away.

The report touches on the ‘promise’ that Ten Hag made him with the Man Utd boss vowing to ‘take him to England’ before the end of the transfer window.
