Man Utd starlet’s Inter move in doubt over greedy agents
Manchester United starlet Tahith Chong’s move out of Old Trafford is in doubt, with his proposed switch to Inter Milan hitting a stumbling block.
The winger was drafted in four years ago from the Feyenoord academy, but has failed to live up to expectations in the Premier League and a departure is now likely.
His agent revealed Chong was looking to leave Manchester United over a disagreement with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And Serve A giants Inter – who are now led by ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte – have been actively courting his signature.
But according to FCInterNews, the 20-year-old’s representatives are muddying the water.
Chong and Inter are said to be close to reaching a compromise regarding his salary demands, with the club having tabled around £1.3million per season and the player holding out for £1.7million plus bonuses.
But Agents’ fees are proving to be the issue, with £5.9million initially demanded.
And despite their stance softening to £4.2million, that is still miles off the £1.5million Inter are willing to fork out.
