Sadio Mane says that he has warned Andy Robertson of the dangers of facing new Watford signing Ismaila Sarr this season.
The winger arrived at Vicarage Road in the summer for a club-record fee in the region of £30m from French side Rennes.
That has meant the 21-year-old didn’t get a pre-season and he has yet to appear for Watford as he continues to get back up to speed after his holiday.
However, when he is fit and firing for the Hornets, Mane is expecting big things from Sarr, so much so that he has warned Liverpool left-back Robertson about his talent.
“The first day he signed I sent him a message to say good luck and that I was happy for him,” Mane told The Athletic.
“He’s rapid. I think defenders will struggle. Last time I was speaking to Robbo (Andy Robertson) I said ‘Watford have a really good player. I will need to help you more otherwise Ismaila Sarr will kill you, because he is a good dribbler and very, very fast’.
“I’m really happy for him and he made the right choice to come to Watford. For sure I think he will be great.”
