Nemanja Matic is said to be seeking talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his Manchester United future amid interest from Inter and AC Milan.

The Serbia midfielder reported back to Carrington for pre-season training this week and he is understood to have approached Solskjaer to gain some clarity over where he stands ahead of the new season.

According to ESPN, Matic has been made aware of interest from Serie A, with Inter and AC Milan both said to be keen on signing the former Chelsea star.

United have lost Ander Herrera this summer while doubts persist over Paul Pogba’s future. Solskjaer has been linked with a move for Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff and Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes, but so far, United have not signed any midfield reinforcements.

ESPN’s story claims Inter are ready to offer £10million plus Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan in exchange for Matic, who turns 31 before the start of the season.

Inter are also keen to sign Romelu Lukaku from United but they have yet to find the funding required to tempt the Red Devils into a deal.
