Allegri speaks out on return, learning English amid Man Utd links
Massimiliano Allegri has opened up over his future and has explained why he has been learning English, amid consistent Manchester United links.
Allegri stepped down as Juventus coach last May after winning five consecutive Serie A titles, and has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs since.
And in an interview with the Associated Free Press, the former AC Milan manager gave a brief insight into his future plans.
“In September I need to come back. If I don’t I’ll get too used to being on holiday and I’ll never work again!” Allegri said.
“I still have three more months of holiday and that’s good for me. “I won’t speak about my future, because there isn’t anything to talk about for now, and also because it would be disrespectful to the other coaches to do so.”
Allegri has reportedly been seen as a potential successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United, following the rumours that the Italian is learning English.
And Allegri confirmed that he is indeed learning English, but insists it is for personal reasons.
“I learn English for my personal culture, because when I go I can’t communicate,” he said.
