Kolo Toure reckons Real Madrid might be interested after his excellent performance for Liverpool against Stoke.
Currently Liverpool’s only fit centre-half, Toure played a starring role for the Reds in their Capital One Cup first leg semi-final victory over the Potters on Tuesday.
The Ivorian ended up finishing the game alongside Lucas Leiva at the heart of the defence, and made 16 clearances at the Britannia. The next best player on the pitch made four.
The 34-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and having started just seven games for the Reds this season, he is eyeing a move to more illustrious shores.
“If I can play like that then maybe I will go to Real Madrid,” Toure said. “I don’t know what I’ll do at the end of this season but I’d like to stay in the Premier League.
“My kids are here and it is difficult to move. I am loving every day but God knows where I will be in a year’s time.
“But I hope it’s playing football because I love it.”
