Barcelona are not in for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, who is the subject of a mind-boggling offer to join Al-Hilal.

The French champions have reportedly put Mbappe up for sale after leaving him out of their pre-season tour of Asia.

Earlier this summer, Mbappe sent PSG a letter notifying them he will not trigger the one-year extension in his contract, which means he will be able to leave for nothing next year.

The French superstar was given the ultimatum by the club’s bosses: sign a new contract or be sold this summer.

It would appear he has made it clear he will not pen a new deal, so PSG are now actively looking to sell.

There is obviously lots of interest in Mbappe and Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have reportedly had a mammoth £259million bid accepted by PSG.

It is believed the Parisiens are actually willing to accept significantly less, such is their desire not to lose the player for nothing, and Al-Hilal only need to convince him to join, not the club to sell.

Despite this, they have bid a baffling amount of money and are now hoping Mbappe accepts their contract offer worth over £50m a month, all to have him for a single season before he joins Real Madrid for nothing. On that note, PSG apparently believe Mbappe has already agreed to sign for Los Blancos in 2024 and feel ‘betrayed’ by this.

Should he snub the Saudi club, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol says Mbappe also has interest from three Premier League clubs, including, wait for this…Tottenham.

“The Al Hilal offer is not the only offer PSG have received,” he said on Monday.

“The market for Mbappe is, ‘hyper, hyper competitive’. A huge number of clubs have expressed interest in the past 48 hours and are formulating bids.

“PSG, we’re being told, will listen to any offer. They don’t care where he goes. No emotions. It’s all about money now.

“They will listen to loan offers, but obviously they would prefer a large transfer fee.

“PSG believe interested clubs include Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Inter Milan and Barcelona.

“Of course, none of those clubs would ever be able to come close to Al Hilal’s offer. But PSG are saying, ‘We will listen to any offer’. There is a feeling that Real Madrid could now be tempted to make an offer.”

Barcelona get a mention there, but SPORT says there is no truth to those rumours and there is a belief their name is being used in order to pressure Real Madrid into making a move this summer.

Sources close to the club reportedly ‘woke up surprised by the news’ and told the Spanish newspaper: “We have nothing to do with this”.

A move to Al-Hilal does feel unlikely, even if Mbappe would earn £19.17 per second, and Relevo reporter Sergio Fernandez reckons the player ‘would rather spend all of next season on PSG’s bench’ than move to Saudi Arabia.

In fairness, Mbappe would receive a huge loyalty bonus if he stays at PSG, so it’s not as if he will be skint if he does not accept the Saudi riches.
