Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has reportedly ‘said no’ to a ‘desperate proposal’ amid interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Mbappe’s future is in doubt at the moment. His current PSG contract is set to expire in 2024 and it has emerged in recent weeks that he has no intention to sign a new deal.

The forward has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in recent years and they are his most likely next destination.

But the La Liga giants have already splashed out to sign Jude Bellingham this summer so they are expected to wait until next year to get Mbappe on a free transfer.

And as Mbappe’s relationship with PSG only becomes more fractured, he has been linked with a potential loan move to Chelsea or Liverpool after he snubbed interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Mbappe has reportedly made it clear that he would accept a loan move to Chelsea, but a separate report has claimed that Liverpool are the ‘favourites’ to get him this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Mbappe has “said no to the final desperate proposal” from PSG.

“For Kylian Mbappé, what I can confirm today is that Mbappé said no to the final desperate proposal from Paris Saint-Germain,” Romano told Caught Offside.

“That was to sign a new contract and include a buyout clause, a guaranteed sale for summer 2024, so he can pick his favourite club and leave next summer as he wants.

“Mbappé said no – again – and so PSG will continue to keep the player out of the first-team squad, training with players who are out of the project.

“PSG are very strong on their position, believing that Mbappé has an agreement with Real Madrid for summer 2024. That’s the feeling that is driving PSG crazy, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi is furious. We wait for Real Madrid to make a move for Mbappé, and let’s see if it’s going to be this summer or next summer but, for sure, crucial weeks for Mbappé are coming.”

Mbappe’s PSG teammate – Renato Sanches – was linked with Liverpool earlier this year before their midfield overhaul and Romano reckons the former Swansea City flop “could be one of the big opportunities in the market” in the coming weeks.

“I wanted to update you on Renato Sanches because he could be one of the big opportunities in the market during the final weeks of the transfer window,” Romano added.

“Roma proposed a loan with a buy option, not a mandatory option, to Paris Saint-Germain, but PSG would prefer to sell the player on a permanent transfer or a loan with mandatory buy option.

“The conversation is ongoing and Mourinho is pushing a lot to have Renato Sanches, so let’s see what’s going to happen.
