Super agent Jorge Mendes has issued a rare statement on Jose Mourinho claiming the Manchester United boss is “fully committed” to the club.
This comes following rumours that he could be replaced in the summer by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino if he fails to qualify for the Champions League, while there have been claims that he wants to be sacked.
United drew 2-2 against Arsenal on Wednesday night to make it four Premier League matches without a win.
And pressure seems to be growing on Mourinho with the Red Devils eight points off Chelsea in fourth place and a further ten points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
“There have been more rumours of Jose Mourinho leaving Manchester United. It’s totally untrue,” Mendes said in a statement via Times reporter Paul Hirst on Twitter.
“José is very happy at the club and the club is very happy with him. He has a long-term contract with Manchester United and is fully committed to the club in building a solid winning project.”
