A deal for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic won’t affect Manchester United’s pursuit of Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.
La Repubblica say that United are ‘well underway’ in the process of bringing Milinkovic-Savic to Old Trafford after Real Madrid ‘decided to accelerate’ their efforts to sign Paul Pogba.
The report adds that the 24-year-old will sign a ‘rich’ five-year contract at United with a €75m plus bonuses deal ‘practically done’.
And there may have been concern among some fans that the deal would spell the end to United’s hopes of signing Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
Schira tweeted: “The arrival of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at Manchester United (offered €80M to Lazio) would not exclude that of Bruno Fernandes. Milinkovic should replace Paul Pogba (in the sights of Real Madrid).”
