Aleksandar Mitrovic has told his relatives that he will never play for Fulham again as he pushes for a move to Saudi Arabia, according to the latest reports.

The Fulham forward scored 14 league goals last season and was one of the outstanding strikers in the Premier League.

Fulham reportedly rejected a £25.5m bid from Al-Hilal earlier this month, with the club desperate to keep hold of their talisman.

However, in a turn of events, the forward is now prepared to push for a move away from the club in order to secure a lucrative deal in Saudi Arabia.

Sky Sports have reported that the forward ‘told relatives he will never play for Fulham again’ after the club placed a value of £52m on his head.

The report does clarify that Mitrovic will join Fulham for their pre-season tour of the US, although the forward is ‘angry’ about being priced out of a move this summer.

Marco Silva will be left in an awkward position as he won’t want an unsettled Mitrovic to disrupt the rest of the squad for the upcoming season.

Mitrovic is contracted with Fulham until 2026 and so the club are in a strong position to dictate his market value.

His agent has pleaded with Tony Khan to lower his value to somewhere in the region of £35m and £45m. Although this would surely be below market value for a top Premier League striker.

Mitrovic’s goals helped Fulham to a 10th placed finish last season when plenty of fans and pundits had predicted them for the drop.

Time will tell if Fulham do indeed stick to their original £52m valuation or if they will be swayed by the pressure of Mitrovic and his agent.

Fulham will kick off their pre-season tour with a clash against Brentford, before facing the likes of Aston Villa, Chelsea and Hoffenheim.
