Arsenal could be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the rest of the season after he suffered a medial knee ligament injury.
The Daily Telegraph have taken Arsene Wenger’s admission that the news on the Armenian’s injury is “not too positive” and speculated that he may not play again this season.
He has already been ruled out of Sunday’s clash without Southampton and the second leg of their Europa League clash with CSKA Moscow.
“He has a scan but the medial knee ligament has been touched,” said Wenger. “The first impression is not too positive. I fear it could be bad. I hope I’m wrong.”
Arsenal are already without their other new January signing – Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – in the Europa League because he is cup-tied.
