Monaco to complete signing of England U17 defender from Chelsea

Ligue 1 side Monaco are set to sign young Chelsea defender Jonathan Panzo, according to a report.
Goal.com claims that after extensive negotiations between Monaco and the player, an agreement has been reached.
Panzo scholarship with the Blues runs out next year, and the report claims that he has ‘informed Stamford Bridge officials that he wants to move to the Ligue 1 club’.
Chelsea will be due a compensation fee of around £2.5 million (€2.8m) once the 17-year-old completes his move across the channel.
It is believed that Michael Emenalo – formerly a director at Chelsea – has played a huge role in tempting Panzo to join Monaco.
The England U17 defender has become the latest young British player to move abroad, after Harvey St Clair joined Venezia in Italy.
