Jose Mourinho has aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over Manchester United’s “PR” tactics.
The rivals go into battle with 14th placed United 15 points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp’s men are strong favourites to leave Old Trafford with all three points – something they haven’t done for five years.
Solskjaer has attempted to quieten speculation that his job at United is under threat, while executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has again defended the Norwegian.
“They did some good PR in the week to make it absolutely clear or create positive atmosphere for the game,” Mourinho said on Sky Sports as a pundit.
“I’m going to try and get a job like Ole has, and speak all the time about the future.
“I think it’s a great situation, three year contract – the future, the young players. I think it’s a great job to do in such a giant club.”
