Ray Wilkins believes that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho would be thinking ‘thank God for that’ if West Brom defender Jonny Evans was still at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils parted with Evans at the beginning of last season when they sold him to the Baggies for a fee believed to be around £6million.
Evans has been in great form for Tony Pulis’ side since then and with Eric Bailly one of the absentees in United’s backline, Wilkins is convinced Mourinho would love to have Evans in his current squad.
“Jonny Evans is so underrated,” Wilkins told TalkSPORT.
“If he was at Old Trafford now, Jose Mourinho would be thinking, ‘Thank God for that’.
“But he’s not!”
