Mustafi gives Arsenal injury scare on international duty
New centre-back signing Shkodran Mustafi has given Arsenal fans everywhere a minor scare after picking up an injury playing for Germany.
Arsene Wenger signed Mustafi for £35million from Valencia after it looked for much of the summer that the Gunners would come up short in the transfer market.
The 24-year-old went down clutching his ankle early in the second half during Bastian Schweinsteiger’s final match for Germany against Finland.

It looked bad at first but Mustafi managed to carry on and it is still not known whether there will be any lasting effects from the incident.
Mustafi signed on the same day as Arsenal revealed Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez and he is set to slot into the heart of the Gunners’ defence next to Laurent Koscielny.
