Manager Steve McClaren will have Guy Moussi available for the first time this season.
The French midfielder has been sidelined by a calf problem but made a successful return from injury as the reserves beat Burton. Moussi played 45 minutes of the 4-2 win on Wednesday.
George Boateng is likely to come back into McClaren’s midfield after being rested against Wycombe in the Carling Cup in midweek.
Strikers Ishmael Miller and Robbie Findley look set to keep their places in the team.
The pair were rewarded for their impressive substitute appearances against Leicester last weekend with starts against Wycombe and both scored in the 4-1 win at Adams Park.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce will restore his big hitters to the side.
Allardyce made nine changes to his line-up as the Hammers were dumped out of the Carling Cup by League Two Aldershot on Wednesday night.
England midfielder Scott Parker will return – assuming he has not been sold by then – along with Robert Green, James Tomkins, Matt Taylor, Jack Collison, Mark Noble and Carlton Cole.
But Junior Stanislas could keep his place after his goal capped an encouraging performance and George McCartney may be preferred to Herita Ilunga at left-back.
Teenager Callum McNaughton is suspended after his debut red card, fellow centre-half Abdoulaye Faye (groin) is a doubt and winger Gary O’Neil (ankle) is still sidelined.
