Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele has opened the door to a Paris Saint-Germain move and revealed he has spoken regularly with Kylian Mbappe over a move.

The midfielder has been in fine form for Jose Mourinho’s side this season after struggling in his opening campaign.

Ndombele joined Spurs from Lyon in a club-record £54million deal but admits he would like to return to Paris one day and play for his home town club.

Early loser: Spurs, somehow even worse than everyone expected

He told Telefoot: “I’m a boy from the Paris region. Wearing the Paris jersey one day? Why not – but today I’m in Tottenham, and it’s going well.

“I spoke with Kylian about a possible coming to PSG. Two or three years in a row we discussed it.

“It didn’t happen and today at Tottenham it’s going well, but why not in the future?”

Ndombele is hoping his club form this season will earn him a call-up to the France squad for the European Championship.

He added: “Of course I miss the France Team. As a competitor we want to be one of the best.

“The European Championship remains a goal in the back of my mind. If I do well at club level, why not be called up?

“My first season was tough, I questioned myself a lot, now the page is turned

“It is true that at a certain moment I wanted to leave, I didn’t feel in the right place. I told them I wanted out. They didn’t want me to go.”
