Nev: Hazard lacks Messi & Ronaldo’s ‘selfish, horrible’ edge

Gary Neville thinks Chelsea star Eden Hazard needs to develop a “selfish, horrible” edge if he is to become one of the greats like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Hazard struggled to have an impact on the match during the Blues’ 2-0 loss to Manchester United which has give Tottenham a chance of catching Antonio Conte’s men at the top of the Premier League.
The Belgium international has been in top form this season for Chelsea scoring 14 goals and providing five assists for his team-mates in the league this campaign.
However, Neville thinks Hazard made it “easy” for Ander Herrera on too many occasions at Old Trafford on Sunday.
“I’ve got loads of time for him – great player,” Neville told Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football. “I always think that maybe he needs to go that step further.
“Is he a bit timid to be what would be a really selfish, horrible best player in the world – Cristiano, Messi type that really has that drive and determination?
“I thought he accepted things too easily. He made it easy for Herrera far too often.
“He made it as comfortable as can be.
“In and out of possession, I thought he made it simple.”
