Neville tells Pogba to ‘do one as well’ after Twitter post

Gary Neville has told Paul Pogba to follow Jose Mourinho out of Manchester United after the midfielder posted a message on Twitter.

Mourinho was sacked by the Red Devils on Tuesday morning following a run of two wins in eight matches in all competitions – with their 3-1 loss to arch-rivals Liverpool proving to be the final straw.

Pogba and Mourinho had a difficult relationship that became particularly strained over the past three to four months with a number of high-profile incidents.

And not long after his dismissal, Pogba posted a photo on Twitter of him with a ambiguous smile along with the words “caption this!”

At best it was badly-timed and at worst it was a wry smile intended to mock Mourinho’s departure from the club.

And Neville, who seems to believe it was no accident, has hinted that Pogba should follow Mourinho out of the door at Old Trafford.

Neville reacted on Twitter by saying: “‘Caption This’ You do one as well!”

Speaking after Mourinho’s sacking, Neville reckons he can pinpoint the time when the writing was on the wall for the Portuguese boss.

Neville also told Sky Sports how Mauricio Pochettino should be the next United boss after The Times claimed that he was United’s ‘preferred candidate’ in the summer.
