Tottenham could look to fill the gap left by Harry Kane’s injury by bringing in Haris Seferovic from Benfica, according to reports.

Spurs have already brought in Gedson Fernandes on an 18-month loan deal with an option to buy in this window, while a deal for PSV winger Steven Bergwijn seems very close.

It is estimated captain Kane will be out until April with a hamstring injury with Spurs now looking to bring in reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut in four days time.

Kane scored 17 goals in 25 matches in all competitions for Spurs before his injury and it will be tough to find anyone to match those figures.

However, Tottenham are reportedly looking and a report in Portuguese newspaper O Jogo (via Sport Witness) on Tuesday claims that Benfica striker Seferovic has emerged as a target.

Spurs and fellow Premier League side West Ham are understood to have expressed an interest in the Switzerland international and Tottenham will decide ‘in the coming hours’ whether to make an offer.

Seferovic has six goals and two assists from 25 matches in all competitions, however 12 of those have come from the substitutes bench.
