Newcastle, Juventus, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are all reportedly ‘in talks’ with Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Lingard will be available on a free transfer this summer when his contract expires at his boyhood club.
He enjoyed a terrific spell on loan at West Ham United in the second half of 2020/21. Despite interest from the Hammers last summer, Lingard opted to stay at Old Trafford to fight for a place in the starting XI.
His departure in the winter transfer window was then blocked with Newcastle and West Ham both keen on signing him on loan.
It has been a difficult final season at Old Trafford for the England international as he has only made four starts across all competitions this term.
After Lingard did not feature in his last home match as a United player, the 29-year-old’s brother, Louie Scott, accused the club of not giving him a proper send-off.
Scott wrote on Instagram: “Twenty years of blood sweat and tears, four domestic trophies, three cup final goals, not even a farewell.
“No wonder it’s Conference League next year.
“Been there since 9 years of age and didn’t even get a send off.”

There is plenty of interest in Lingard, with numerous clubs willing to jump on the chance to sign him on a free.
According to the Daily Mail, the midfielder is ‘in talks’ with four clubs, with West Ham not said to be negotiating a summer deal.
Newcastle are trying to bring Lingard to St James’ Park after failing in their January pursuit. The Magpies will face some stiff competition with Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus also speaking to the player’s representatives.
PSG are also keen and it is believed that negotiations with two of those clubs are at an ‘advanced stage’.
