Newcastle are reported to be keen on a move for Brighton centre-forward Glenn Murray.
The veteran striker has found playing time hard to come by under Graham Potter with the 36-year-old making only three Premier League starts this season.
Murray wasn’t involved in Brighton’s FA Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend and reports suggest he could be on the move this month.
The Guardian claims Newcastle and Villa are keen on a short-erm move for Murray.
Newcastle are looking for attacking reinforcements following the failure of £40million record signing Joelinton to score the goals Steve Bruce had hoped he would provide. Villa are in the market for a centre-forward following the season-ending knee injury suffered by their summer signing Wesley.
Murray is in the final six months of his contract at the AmEx.
