Darren Bent claims it would be “a snippet” for Aston Villa if they managed to bring Liverpool winger Harry Wilson to the club.
Newly-promoted Villa have been linked with the 22-year-old along with Newcastle United after his impressive season on loan at Derby County last term.
And Bent reckons Wilson will prove to be a bargain if any club can land him for the reported £20million fee.
“It’s not even just been last season because he impressed me the season before at Hull,” Bent told Football Insider.
“I was at Burton and he was at Hull and I remember thinking: ‘Bloody hell, this kid.’
“When Derby got him I thought what a great bit of business.
“I’m a big fan of his, I think Liverpool are saying £20million on his head. That is a snippet, that is an absolute snippet.
“He is a top talent, he’s got all the attributes. He can hit a dead ball, he can go past people, he’s quick, he works hard, he’s a good guy around the changing room.
“Anyone who is looking to get him for £20million, that’s a snip, I think he’ll get better and better.
“If someone can go and get him, like Aston Villa, for £20million, that is a snippet.”
