Jay-Jay Okocha claims Mo Salah’s “energy has run out at Liverpool” and has urged the Egyptian to join Barcelona.

Salah – who has maintained his excellent goalscoring record this season despite Liverpool’s struggles – has been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid, and refused to rule out a move to Spain in November.

Salah said: “I think Madrid and Barcelona are two top clubs. Who knows what will happen in the future, but right now I am focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool again.

“That’s a tough question [how long I will stay at Liverpool], but right now I can say that everything is in the hands of the club. Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but everything is in the hands of the club.”

Former Bolton star Okocha is adamant that Salah needs to leave Anfield, with Barcelona the best option.

“If there is a chance to join Barcelona, I advise Salah to go there. His energy has run out with Liverpool,” Okocha told ONTime Sports, as per Kingfut.

“The situation is now regressing in Liverpool, and Salah must leave the Premier League. If there is any chance to join Barcelona, I advise him to go there.”
