Michael Owen has basically predicted that Manchester United will cruise past Sevilla in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United striker Owen believes that Jose Mourinho will have too much nous for the Spanish side.
Liverpool were almost caught out twice by Sevilla in the group stages and eventually drew their games 2-2 and 3-3, but Owen predicts no such problems for United.
“I think tactically he [Jose Mourinho] is one to know how to get through. I think this is a really good draw,” Owen told BT Sport.
“I’m convinced Sevilla are half the team they were a few years ago. Liverpool dominated both ties but somehow didn’t win. It’s great draw.
“I don’t think Mourinho will even have to be on top of his game to get through. I expect them to go through.”
Sevilla were battered 5-0 by Real Madrid on Saturday.
