Fabio Paratici wants to strike a double deal with Fiorentina to bring Nikola Milenkovic and Dusan Vlahovic to Spurs this summer.

Tottenham’s new managing director of football has already brought in Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero from Atalanta and Bryan Gil from Sevilla in this transfer window.

Spurs are still keen on adding to the squad with the recruitment department looking to strengthen their central defence and attack further.

Nobody likes Harry Kane, but does he actually care?

Fiorentina duo Milenkovic and Vlahovic have been heavily linked over the past couple of months with the pair fitting the criteria Spurs are looking for.

A report yesterday said that Tottenham were ready to ‘overtake’ West Ham in the bidding for Milenkovic, while another insisted Spurs are ‘strongly interested’ in Vlahovic after Atletico Madrid had a £51m bid turned down.

And now Corriere Fiorentino (via Sport Witness) claims that Paratici ‘would be happy to bring them to London’ before the transfer deadline at the end of August.

The former Juventus sporting director wants a double deal for the pair and intends to ‘complete a maxi-operation that between one thing and another could bring more than €80m (£68m) into Fiorentina’s coffers’.

Being an Italian club, the report adds that the Viola would find it hard to reject the ‘avalanche of money’ from Spurs for their star pair.

Tottenham ‘could be the right solution’ for Milenkovic, while Corriere Fiorentino insist it would be ‘impossible’ for Fiorentina to match the contract offer on the table for Vlahovic from Spurs.

Meanwhile, the Harry Kane saga rumbles on with Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo expecting the England international to “help the team” while also admitting that “anything can happen in football”.

“We have our squad, we have our Spurs players,” Nuno told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“We have to commit them but we have to know that 31st of August is sometimes not in your hands. All the managers in the Premier League have the same feeling that I have – trying to finish the window and settle down.

“Harry is [training] with us, he worked on Sunday morning and he’s getting ready to help the team.

“We don’t expect [something to happen before the transfer deadline but] we have to be ready to act if necessary because until the 31st anything can happen in football.”
