Kris Doolan (hamstring) and Steven Lawless (knock) are injury doubts and face fitness checks ahead of Saturday’s game.
Longer-term injuries Dan Seaborne (ankle), Christie Elliott (broken hand) and Sean Welsh (ankle) remain on the sidelines.
Motherwell midfielder Stephen Pearson will be assessed ahead of the trip to Firhill. The Fir Park midfielder was substituted in the 5-0 midweek win over St Mirren with a knee injury and will need a late check
Defender Steven Hammell continues his recovery from a groin injury and will play for the U20s next week.
Skipper Keith Lasley believes a win in Glasgow can help drag Thistle into the play-off scrap.
He said: “We still have to go to St Mirren, they’ve still to play Ross County a couple of times, so there’s a lot of football still to be played.
“However, a few of the boys have said that we need to try and look above us as well, and try to draw people into the fight if we can, so that’s what we’re focusing on.
“We want to make it more than a two-horse race for those two bottom spots if we can, and we need to keep doing our bit.
“We go to Partick on Saturday and we can only control what we do, but if we have aspirations of pulling Thistle into it we have to go there and win.”
