Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba has “expressed excitement” at the prospect of playing with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
Sancho has been linked heavily with a return to the Premier League this summer after spending three years at Borussia Dortmund.
SportBild claimed earlier on Tuesday that Man Utd have been given an August 10th deadline by Dortmund to seal a deal for Sancho, with the German side keen to wrap up business by that date.
While another report claimed that Sancho is ‘not 100 percent convinced’ that a move to Old Trafford would be the best for his career.
However, if the England international decides to join Man Utd then Pogba is one player that can’t wait to play alongside the winger.
“Somebody has told me that he’s even expressed excitement at the idea, I stress the idea possibility, of playing with Jadon Sancho,” Ornstein said on The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast for The Athletic.
“We’re not saying that’s definitely going to happen but that would appear to suggest Manchester United’s midfield certainly now has the numbers in so I don’t see recruitment coming in there.
“Perhaps that might move the conversation away from Jack Grealish or anybody else, Donny van de Beek etc.”
