Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ‘has asked to leave this summer’ as Arsenal field offers from across Europe.

Aubameyang will soon enter the final year of his contract in north London and, at 30, must consider the last big move of his career.

Spanish outlet Sport say Aubameyang ‘is already listening’ offers from a range of clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Real have emerged as potential suitors ‘in recent days’ as they continue their search for a proven goalscorer. Barca consider the forward as ‘a great alternative’ to priority target Lautaro Martinez.

It is added that Aubameyang is a ‘very attractive’ for numerous sides because of his reported desire to leave Arsenal, whose bargaining position is weakened by the relatively short time left on his contract.

TOP TEN: Players who actually handed in a transfer request

Aubameyang even attempted to engineer his exit in January when ‘negotiating’ with Barca but Arsenal shut the move down. The Spanish club have kept in ‘direct contact’ since.

Inter Milan and PSG are the final two teams who ‘are trying to probe the final price’ of both the transfer fee and the wage Aubameyang would demand. The player wants to leave by the end of June and Arsenal ‘will sell to alleviate their financial problems’.

Sport refer to Real as the favourites to sign the Gabon international. United are surely too busy throwing £200m at Tottenham for Harry Kane.
