Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino insists a good performance against Everton is “the best medicine to fix all”.

The Argentinian has endured his toughest spell as Spurs manager, with the club languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League, and rumours of discord among members of the squad.

But he remains upbeat ahead of their trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton on Sunday, and admits it has been useful to have a full week to prepare after the disappointment of the defeat to Liverpool last time out.

Pochettino said: “It was an important week to recover the feelings after a tough game against Liverpool.

“We know very well it is our responsibility to deliver a very good job and very good performance on Sunday against a very good team like Everton trying to win because it’s going to be the best medicine to fix all.”
