Pochettino: Spurs ‘need to be careful’ with January transfers

Mauricio Pochettino believes Tottenham “need to be careful” in the January transfer window.
Tottenham were expected to be busy in the winter after becoming the first Premier League side ever to not make a single signing in a summer transfer window.
The north London club have been linked with Bournemouth pair Eddie Howe and Nathan Ake, as well as Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
But Pochettino poured cold water on suggestions that Spurs will invest heavily when the window reopens.
“We need to be careful how we manage January,” he said.
“It is not a window where you can do many things and not affect the dynamic of the team and the group.
“If you are doing well and you arrive in January, no one is going to change too much.”
