Pochettino 'trusts' Kane despite drought

Kane is yet to open his account this season after four games, with doubts raised over the England international.
Some believe he may have been a ‘one-season wonder’ after his 30-goal haul last campaign, while others feel Spurs simply need to provide him competition and support through striker reinforcements.
“I am happy with Harry Kane,” Pochettino insisted. “He had two or three clear chances but I am happy.
“He needs to work hard and play. A goal will come for Harry. All strikers have spells like this and only time can do it. I trust in him.”
Kane missed one chance in particular in the first half, with the excellent Tim Howard saving his effort when through on goal.
Pochettino believes his side are performing well on the pitch, but are simply lacking a cutting edge in finishing their chances.
“We created a lot of chances but you need to score. It was impossible today but I am happy with the performance.
“I think Howard was man of the match – that says it all.
“It was our first clean sheet which was a positive.
“We feel frustrated because we’re playing better than the opponent but drawing and this upsets me. We have to stay calm and improve.”
